Home and Hospital visits

The Vicar and the Curate would like to hear as soon as someone goes into hospital. We value the role that hospital chaplains have to play in caring for people in hospital – they have greater insight into how hospitals work and how people feel about being confined in a hospital bed. The Christ Church clergy will visit your ward and, if you want this, will request a chaplain to visit you. Hospital chaplains generally bring communion to the wards following their Sunday service.

Visits at home are often a good way for the clergy to get to know you better and to hear any problems or concerns that you have. At Christ Church lay people are involved in visiting, and lay teams often give communion at home. All in all, we are never so busy that we cannot make time for a visit. Please contact us to ask someone to visit.
