Meeting of the Parishioners and Annual Parochial Church Meeting
There are always two meetings at this time of year in Church of England Churches. One is so short that it has hardly opened before the meeting is closed, but it is very significant to the life of a parish, because at this meeting we appoint Churchwardens for the coming year. The second meeting, the APCM which follows on, is the real business meeting. At it we receive the Annual Report and the Accounts, along with reports on the fabric and fittings of the church, and reports from any committees that have met. At the APCM we authorise the use of the new or revised Electoral Roll and we elect new members for the PCC.
On the form attached to this Newsletter you can tell us that you are coming (helpful, as it allows us to print the right amount of paperwork); you can tell us in advance of any questions or issues you would like to raise; you can tell us if you would like to be nominated for membership of the PCC (though you will needed to be proposed and seconded on paper).
