The best laid plans go awry, and that's what happened to us last Sunday when we were setting up for our Zoom meeting. My apologies if you didn't manage to get in - everything seemed to be working against us. However, we have drawn breath, and we will be using Zoom again on Sunday as it provides us with the most features and it allows us to play music and watch video files. We are going to hear the account of the Journey to Emmaus, and since Jesus was recognised in the breaking of the bread you might like to have a piece of bread  on a plate with you to break and to contemplate.

We are looking at new things to do to keep everyone interested and entertained. Dennis Tjiok will be performing a recital programme tomorrow evening at 6pm. Details are published with this newsletter. There will be a recital on the last Saturday of every month and we will have a midweek recital too which will include musical pieces for children. Details of this will follow.

Would you like to meet with your fellow Christians in a more intimate way? Zoom and WhatsApp give the opportunity to meet together, perhaps to pray or to learn in smaller cell groups. We'd like to give everyone the opportunity to meet together in this way. Please complete the form at the end of the newsletter so we can set this up.

I have asked members of the church to tell us what they are doing with their time. David Longbottom has written about icons and Lesley Young has written about what is happening in the Law. I hope you enjoy reading their blogs. Dennis Tjiok has been imagining what we might do musically as a Parish, even at a social distance. He has written some notes as well.
